HI everyone,
I've read the other posts regarding WSI by using the search function and was wondering if anyone had any new information. I've got 2 years experience with adults (business english/toefl), a CELTA and a business undergrad (Finance/marketing combo). I have an interview coming up soon. Does anyone currently work there?
I wanted to study Korean full-time but I'm worried about my finances. Is working part-time at WSI a good option?
Thanks

I used to work there and quite enjoyed it. I only left because of another job offer with better vacation, but still miss a lot about WSI. |

Same here. There are better contracts out there, especially concerning vacation and their requirement of working every 3rd Saturday, but they do keep their promises. No surprises. And the actual working and teaching conditions are among the best. Yes, I miss a lot about WSI too. |

I worked with WSI for my final 2 years in Korea and it was the best school that I worked for. They offered me the opportunity to develop into examining and am now an examiner and marker in the UK, get into Curriculum Development and improve my teaching.
They support their teachers and other staff very well and reward them for their effort. There are a lot of geocentric staff employed and there is nominal confrontation between the NET's and the Korean staff as they have a good working relationship.
Work hard, play hard and enjoy the second year at WSI with more vacation time. |
