Where does it come from?
Back about 12 years ago I knew where it came from; now I don't.
Can you please tell me where stuff like:
"Can I has.."
"I'm in... ...ing... ...." (fill in the blanks)
And so on came from?
Usually they're accompanied by, or captioning, pictures if that helps.
I feel like an adjosshi discovering the internet for the first time when I see these memes and I wonder where they came from. Please tell me their source so that I can either tap it and destroy it, or alternatively become a cool internet warrior.
When me and Al Gore invented the internet we didn't intend it to be used this way. Please tell me where these awful things come from so we can shut it down before we solve Global Warming. |

I hear ya OP, and I feel sort of the same way, but I'm catching on a bit, as one who finished high school a good few years before the internet and text messaging existed.
Expressions like PWned and FTW (still not sure about this) used to drive me bats.
Now I seek out the added lulz for a bit of silliness, roflmao.
