| What's the purpose of ordering the U.S. Residency Cert? To claim a Korean income tax refund? Do hagwon teachers need this cert? Or is it only necessary for PS teachers so that taxes aren't deducted from their pay? |

This form is sometimes requested of a foreign teacher by their school to determine eligibility for exemption of Korean taxes. That's the only purpose that I'm aware of.
You wouldn't need it to claim a tax refund. |
