A Japanese TV station exposed the photo, according to Chosun Ilbo.

You'd think at least one of them could look like their grandfather when he was young- thin!

You'd hope at least one of them has a modicum of common sense, stops the chest pounding and opens up his repressed country to outside aid. Provided the military would let him.

Under Kim Jong-il's dictatorial leadership, school leavers are compelled to join the army for 13 years. (aged 17 ~ 30)

that sucks

Shocked

So he detonates a nuclear device, throws some missles in the air, alienates one of the world's biggest economies, and angers the OTHER world's biggest economies, because he wants his successor to be the son who LOOKS MOST LIKE HIM?

Sparkling.

According to some reports, he doesn't just look like his father, but is similar in terms of personality and leadership style.

By the way, there is now room for doubt that he has really been chosen to be the next North Korean leader.

I heard that's his older brother in Japan on video. I hope that country miserably fails and then liberalizes enough to get their heads out of their butts and see the light that it's not necessary to be so stupid. What's even more evident is they're Korean; no different than the people of the South other than the they're uneducated and brainwarshed. I could see the South following a dictatorship regime with full faith and dedication if America had not did what they did. When that old principal speaks to his school on Monday mornings, he sounds like a communist dictator and then this communist sounding music plays. Gawd. Koreans are easily led on to believe almost anything.

Can you imagine an ideologically united nuclear Korea?

I'd rather not.

Fortunately, the South Koreans have seen what internationalism, trade, democracy, and individuality gives them: money, luxury, freedom, and happiness. They'll never give up democracy, fortunately.
