Your idea IS brilliant! Could we have a drum circle, play hacky-sack and then lament about carbon credits and "sustanability" for a few hours while drinking Rolling Rock?
I'll even try to buy some Birkenstocks for the occasion. I think I might be able to order an Obama Hope shirt too.. I'll need to get a new one because I lost my old one when I stopped drinking the Kool-Aid.
Don't forget the wheatgrass!
BTW, there is/was a kiwiboy. |

No one wants to meet me? *sniff* *sniff*
Though I suppose that means that I
1) don't spend enough time posting on here
or
2) don't say weird enough crap to draw attention to myself
<sigh> I'll start trying harder. |
That's probably about right. There have been several threads about posters you'd like to meet or your favorite posters and such and I've never been on one of those lists. Most people on those lists do tend to post more and in more forums. People always spoke well of Ttompatz and I rarely came across his posts. I think he was helpful in forums I do not enter. (I never go to the jobs forum and have gone to tech forum maybe twice). |

I should enter the Special Olympics.. because, I'm obviously impaired to the extent that I have no idea what that bearded man on the video has to do with anything. |

... drinking Rolling Rock? |
Anheuser-Busch bought Rolling Rock a couple years ago and moved it to some filthy river in New Jersey. They're having a hard time giving the stuff away. |

Birkenstocks? Sorry, but where I come from it's going to have to be barefeet I'm afraid. And don't forget your birch stick so we can whip ourselves for our crimes. |

Wanna meet some Dave's posters? Put socks over your hands and use them as sock puppets. Wanna know which posters you're already talking to? Any ideas? Urbanmyth? Any ideas? |

lol... the "known chick" list. You forgot MollyBloom.
I've met Kermo, wylies99, nolegirl, Demonicat (though we didn't exchange usernames, I just figured it out), SPINOZA, moosehead, and lots of other people who don't post any more/never posted much. Just picked these ones out of other's wishlists. ENVY ME.
Want to meet: Jongnoguru, Chicken Lover, KwangjuChicken, Yingwenlaoshi, and Panda. |
I met you? Was it that time a bunch of us ate at Pizza Hut and then went to that Giant Buddha? That's when I met Ilsandude and that other big Dave's poster who never wants me to mention his name. BTW, if you really were there, what topping did I order for my pizza? |

While we're on this topic, has anyone ever met one of the mods? They seem a rather elusive lot. |
Gotta be in Toronto. That's where they live- or Colorado, from what I've heard. You'd be surprised what people say in Rocky Mountain on a Saturday night. Go in there and ask if anyone posts on Dave's, You'll learn a lot. The drunker they are, the more they talk. |

Some posters on Dave's I read and shake my head every time. I'd love to meet these guys just to see how close reality is to their on line persona.
So here is my list:
1. buymybook
2. yingwenlaoshi
3. tomato
4. fromtheuk
5. wylies99
I'd love to get all five in a bar at once. What is your list? |
I'm as helpful and informative in person as I am online.
But, I have no interest or reason to meet you. |

I usually avoid these types of threads as I am the kind of person who is not really interested in any club that would want me.
But, I would like to meet Real Reality, Fruitcake and anyone who actually wants to meet me. I am easy that way.
Good luck everyone! |

For those who wanted to know about fromtheuk; before he deleted his video on youtube, I actually saw the man. He is exactly as you imagine, looking like a terrorist, and speaking with a BBC accent. The man is pure class.
In answer to the question, I would be interested in meeting those who own a mountain bike, and know how to use it. |

Thus far I'd say jongnoguru and mollybloom, they both sound smart. Maybe bluelake and bassexpander too..good discussion on the midnight runner site. I guess I met a few, some might know who I am. In China now, so odds are near zilch. |
