As a casual fan, I notice that there aren't that many big names - unless you count past-their prime stars like Crocop, Wanderleigh, and Franklin, and potential stars like Cain Valesquez.

Appear to be good competitive match-ups, though ...
"Ace" Franklin vs. "Axe-Murderer" Silva is an interesting bout - but I think Silva may have a decisive edge in power (unless he's really much older than advertised - which he probably is, so I'll go with Franklin.)
Cheick Kongo has the experience edge over highly regarded prospect Valesquez, but (remembering Kongo's lackluster fight against Heath Herring) I'll pick Cain to stay unbeaten (for now).
Mirko Cro Cop vs. Mostapha al Turk looks like a set-up for an easy win for Crocop - so I'll root against him and pick Turk (even though I'm Armenian...)
I'm not familiar with either Mike Swick or Ben Saunders. Both have good records, but I'll go with Saunders because I used to live in Orlando.
And, I'll give the nod to Spencer "the King" Fisher over Caul Uno - mainly because I like the name "Kingfisher" ... |
