Spieluhr by Rammstein (German) the lyrics are great in English too, a heartrending song.

Sounds Russian to me, somehow, though it's clearly not.

And this one...

I am a fan of French pop music in general, but many songs sneak in English so I figured it wouldn't be fair.

Wow, OP's link has been blocked in this region. I also noticed a couple days ago I can no longer post to Youtube. Sure it's been mentioned that you can get around it disguising your IP location. They sure are clamping down in Korea on free speech and just what you can watch or know about through a computer or TV. Smells of communism masquerading as democracy. It's OK to get out there and make money as long as it doesn't infringe on domestic economic interests, but it's not OK to speak your mind or watch prohibited material that undermines the ideals of domestic protectionism in any way. This includes ideas of being truly free to do anything you want such as listen to any music, watch any show, and buy just anything even if such foreign things have nothing to do with Korean protectionism and patriotism. Bollocks on Korea, China, and other nations beginning to restrict personal freedoms.

When I was a young'un (ca 1963) this song was an international phenomenon with tons of radio play. "Sukiyaki" by Kyu Sakamoto.
Catchy tune (& quirky video, ahead of its time):

Check out Shantel, a ethnic Romanian German DJ/MC that mixes awesome Balkan beats from original Greek/Turkish/Romanian/Serbian songs, etc...if you're into that kind of thing

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lW4oxW4bQ5E&feature=related

and (though english in lyrics, but not in spirit)

Also, Sidestepper, a Columbian latin/downtempo band

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ns_HUjOWBo4

and Novalima (Peruvian) are pretty jammin, too.

Some good stuff on this thread!

Here's Stereo Total doing an old Serge Gainsbourg classic, Vilaines filles--mauvais garon. They've got a lesser song tacked on to the end for some reason, but the first minute and a half is good.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRHGz5CSH5g

Stereo Total are kind of hit and miss, more the latter really, but I do love that song.

This is a classic as well. Tu vuo fa' l' Americano by Renato Carosone...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23np2iwMQaE

Zombie is a great track too. Fela sings it in English, kinda, though.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBgewcFh-cg
and Johnny Just Drop by the same dude...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4cR6qUA4hVY

And no doubt most of you have seen Conchord Bret sing Korean trot before, but here it is again anyway.
