Does anyone know where I can pick up a paper copy of the New York Times in Seoul? If not the NYT, a comparable international newspaper?

Cheers.

The International Herald Tribune comes coupled with the Joongang Ilbo each day in Seoul. You can pick it up at newstands. Call the subscription service which has English as an option.

Thanks beecomet.

Any leads on the NYT? Surely in a city of 10 million+ people there must be somewhere...

have you heard of the internet? I read it free everyday online.
Sorry, I have never seen it in Seoul, or anywhere in Korea, even at the airport. If it was here it would be very expensive. I remember seeing the Sunday edition in Prague at a bookstore for the low price of twenty five dollars for one copy when I lived there.

The International Herald Tribune is owned and opperated by the New York Times but it is a pale comparison.

As another poster said, you can read it online.

actually, I find the IHT to be a superior product to the NYT, because it doesn't spend too much time on useless and boring local issues which are of no interest to an expat. The IHT website used to be distinct and better from the NYT's. Alas now they've merged it into a "global" edition of the NYT.

anyways - www.nytimes.com

still free (though I think this wil change) , but you need to register.

Thanks for the helpful replies.

If I wanted to read it I would go to the website, but I'm actually asking for a friend who wants a paper copy.

Cheers anyway.
