I would love to know why anyone is taking this serriously at the moment... The Norks can barely detonate a nuke underground, let alone put it on a missile... The only "nuclear war" we're gonna see at any point in the near future is if Dear Leader does something really really stupid and the US makes him pay for it... |

What makes you think that he won't do something really stupid. Maybe he's suicidal and wants to take the whole peninsula with him.
Everyone seems to claim that there is no way war could reignite, but the truth is that no one knows with any certainty what will happen. |

I believe this quote came from a North Korean newspaper.
I also believe North Korean newspapers regularly publish lies about how North Korea is a paradise etc.
I don't believe what is printed in North Korean newspapers. |

Hate to break the bad news to you, but the Norks HAVE denonated a nuclear bomb......TWICE. Oh and they HAVE launched missiles....SEVERAL times.
I don't know how anyone can be so arrogant to speak of things in which they have really idea as to what the outcome will be.
In fact, I would not put it past the Norks to actually do something. It would be perfect for lil Kim.
Go out with a bang.....especially when noboby believes you will do it.

I do know that if someone stays in the USA, their chances of becoming poor/flat broke are higher than Kim Jong Il doind anything. |

Hmmmm.......I didn't see anything that stated I was "afraid". Where did you see that written? Was it in code, or something?
I was just simply providing a few facts and the reality of the situation.

The odds of Nuclear War are slightly worse than the odds of me winning the lottery.
So if I win the lotto, watch out! |

Their first test in 2006 was hardly a success.... Their second test, it was reported today, was a few kilotons at most (and nowhere near the 10-20 kiloton blast the Russians said the North Koreans were hoping for)...
If you read my post again, I say "let alone put it on a missile"... Yes, they have launched lots of missiles... But they lack the technology to put it on a missile, and will for years to come... Which means they have no delivery system... You can't really have a nuclear "war" if only one side of the battle can launch their nukes...
As for why I don't believe Dear Leader will do anything stupid - There is absolutly no chance that his regime would be allowed to continue if he ordered a full-scale attack on the South... The US and its allies would crush the North, and that would be the end of it... Kind of hard to pass on leadership of a regime that no longer exists...
"Go out with a bang" - and leave nothing for your newly appointed successor?... Doubtful... He wants power for his son, not rubble... |
