I'm in Ilsan. It's a nice place, good variety of restaurants and shopping, plenty of noraebangs and bars, if that's your thing. It seems like a real cultural place too, but I haven't delved into that like I should. I like it here.

I'm leaving for Iksan (hopefully) next week.

How are you guys finding it?

How big is the city, can travelling by a bicycle get you around easily enough?

Is there anything that you can't find that you have to go to another city to get? - i was thinking the area's of food, clothing, electronics, etc...

Thanks!

I like Iksan. The foreigners are friendly and most say hi to a new face. I've heard there's about 100-120 foreigners here and about 60-80 of them talk to new faces. There's a handful that ignore you.

It's smaller than Jeonju but there's a KTX stop here.

A bike is plenty to get around. Not much Western food or good cheese so that requires a trip to Itaewon.

Smaller city. About 200,000 or so, but an active night life. Like living in San Francisco or Chicago, not LA where you need a car.

I'm sure we'll meet.

Hey, I am actually moving to Iksan myself next month. Got a job with the LG factory there. Hope to see you around.

I'm one of the short white guys who says, "Howdy Foreigner!" whenever I see one. I'm sure we'll meet!
