|
|
Okay, I have two weeks in August and have no clue where I want to go. I've been to beijing, India, cambodia and thats it as far as Asia goes.
One caveat is that I'm not so keen on being in a sweltering hot country or drenched in a monsoon.
Any ideas? I could even split the two weeks between two different countries.
any thoughts are appreciated. |

I'd go check out Mongolia. I haven't been there myself but, from what I've heard from friends, it's a pretty good place to vacation in the summer. |

Mongolia would be cool, but Bhutan would be phenomenal...IF you can get the tourist visa. Bhutan is tough to get into. |

You could head to Hokkaido - apparently it's not nearly as humid as the rest of Japan or Korea, so it would likely be much more comfortable. However, Japan isn't cheap, so it depends how much money you want to spend. |

|

I think Indonesia is below the typhoon belt.
Best time to visit Indonesia is during dry season between April and October. The humidity is relatively less and weather is pleasant at this time of the year. Though travel in the wet season is possible in most parts of Indonesia, it can be a deterrent to some activities. |
