I am an Australian male teaching High School in Thailand.

A workmate, (also from Australia), and I would like to teach in Korea.

My friend has a TESOL cert. from an Australian Uni.

Although he doesn't have a degree of any kind, I consider him to be a pretty good ESL teacher one of the best I've seen.

Question is, is there any way around getting a job in Korea without a degree? AND What about these sites on the net that issue degrees from schools based on life experiences??? Also any advice as to the best place to get a fake degree ?

Sad that he has to even consider this option but what a waste of a good teacher if not.

Thanks and regards

Footnote: Here in Thailand, for some reason the best teachers don't have degrees, the rottenest and most unreliable teachers do.

There might be something, but I seriously doubt it. It'd take some major detective work to find a non-degree job. And it might even end up being illegal. I think working visas require a degree regardless of the job.

It's an immigration rule that you must have a university diploma in anything to get a working visa. Any teaching without the visa is illegal.

You can't get a job as a full-time English teacher but being a manager or office staff at a school is possible with Working Holiday. Once in Japan I got a visa without a degree by being hired as a teacher/translator as I had a Japanese language test that proved I could read and write it. They never ended up giving me any translation work though, oh well...
