...and pray tell me, what would be the busiest night?
(That's all that matters to me, a place that is full.) |

yes, i found Bundang a bit lame
very clean, orderly, quiet and rather dull
one or two pubs does not a nightlife make |

I said not "many", therefore recognizing the two that replied. And I also said thanks...so how is that ignoring them?
Do you just go around trying to point out mistakes on this forum? |

I like Dublin's you may also want to check out PUB 210 across the way. Monkey Beach has been dead or at least it is whenever I take a gander in there (yes I said gander).
I'm game to try any new spot out. Last week went to Posse (a tad early I admit) didn't know if it was one of them "alternative lifestyle" bars but it was me a guy from Toronto and a ton of Korean girls. Needless to say we stayed longer than planned and then moved to where everyone else was that night which was Dublin's and PUB 210 either way you have a good time.
But there are plenty of other cities to check out depends on what you are looking for. |

| Besides Monkey Beach, there's Lose Control. But be warned: it's not exactly foreigner friendly. I knew three different foreigners who had run-ins with the Korean guys there. |

For a hassle free good night out Dublins' is by far the best bar in Bundang.
Free pool, free darts, great selection of beers and a very friendly atmosphere. SK the owner has lived in Ireland and England as well as the states and runs a great bar.
Very busy Wed Fri and Sat nights, with a well run Quizz night on Sundays, it is the original teachers bar in Bundang.
Other bars mentioned are ok too I guess, but I think SK gives that little bit more in terms of friendliness...
have fun... |

Just moved to Migeum and looking for something to do. I've heard a lot about Dublins and hope to try it out tonight. Will any of you posters be there?
Also, are there general barroom rules in Korea that are different from those in the States? The last thing I want to do is "flirt" the wrong way and end up in a physical confrontation my first week in the city. |

A foreigner bar in Korea is pretty much like a lot of bars in America. Flirting the wrong way . . . just show basic common sense (which can be hard, depending on how much you drink), and you'll be okay.
So where in Illinois are you from? |

Well, I'm not the most aggressive person anyway, so I wasn't too worried: just want to be safe. I just like knowing that it is okay to go speak with a Korean girl without going through some unspoken ceremony.
I'm from Charleston, about an hour south of U of I, 3 hours south of Chicago. Do you know the area? |
