|
|
I'll be going home soon but will be doing a little travelling before arriving home. I would like to take some Kimchi back but have no idea how well it keeps being out of a fridge for a week or so while it goes airmail back.
Also how long does it keep for? I know some people eat the really smelly rotten stuff, but how long can you keep it before it starts turning? |

Where's home? If you're going to the US, why not just buy the stuff at Safeway or Albertson's? |

Thanks for the laugh. But shouldn't stuff like this be in off-topic? |

I have had kimchi sent to me! Good hommeade stuff. You have to wrap it with about 1000 bags and parcel tape and the smell still comes out of the package when it arrives. Place it in the fridge right away and it's all good! |

What's funny?
Anyway, I live in Wales, it's not exactly known for it's Korean restaurants. In fact I would be pretty certain that it would be very difficult to get any Korean food outside of London. |

If I brought kimchi home for my mum - she would punch my face in!
I'm going to bring home some spicy tuna, coffee mix and some Korean drama DVDs. |

I'd expect those vacuumed sealed packets you can get in the convenience stores would be fine sent through the mail; the canned versions as well.
Once you're home you can make it for yourself. |

Yes, that's what I'd suggest, too. Those sold at the airport are designed to travel. |
