I always felt that this would make a great soundtrack to an emotionally charged finale in some great movie.

Echo Beach- Martha and the Muffins- Very Queen street before Queen street was considered hip. All the members of this band attended Ontario College of Art and Design.

Screaming Fist- The Viletones- Very early punk song from 1977.

I'm tired of waking up tired- The Diodes another early punk song.

Some very early footage of the Toronto punk scene. Long before MuchMusic gentrified the hip Queen street scene. This was long before the trendy botiques started started selling Dr. Martin boots. Or every Tom Dick and Harry had a mohawk and a studded leather Jacket. Like much of the British imagery of the time. The intention use of Totalitarian symbols for the purpose of shock value.

The shop is named after a song by The Damned.

The Sadies

Can't find a youtube that does their live show justice. If you are ever in Toronto on New Years Eve, these guys will likely be playing the Horseshoe.
