If you read the news this morning, you might had seen the 18 year old Belgium teen who got 56 black stars tattooed who claims she ordered and paid for only 3, but feel asleep during the tattooing and woke up with 56 stars. I'm not including a link as it's all over the internet.
How do you fall asleep while getting tattoos?
I'm wondering if the possibility of her being drugged in the same fashion as date rape might be so?
After seeing it in the news, millions of people all over the world are curious as to how this horrendous mistake happened.
What do you think? |

| I think she asked for 56 and once it was done, realized that she would have to deal with it for the rest of her life, so now she's backtracking and blaming the tattoo artist. I hope she loses the stupid case and has to pay him for potential lost revenue. |

That's a lot of a stars. I'm too much of a chicken to get a tattoo, though apparently it doesn't hurt that much.
I call a possibility of the girl being totally smashed and probably passed out and asked for the 56 stars in her drunken haze. That's just my assumption though. I think I've watched to many teen movies. |

I could definitely fall asleep during some, especially if it was going to be three stars, depending of course on its location. Everyone's pain tolerance and location on the masochist spectrum is different, and their alcohol tolerance is different, too, I hear. |

Keep in mind where the tattoo is though - there's not really any fleshy parts to absorb the pain, he's essentially tattooing on bone with skin - I'd say it would be pretty difficult to fall asleep through that. |

Did she only pay for three? What a great deal!
In all seriousness, though, facial tattoos are a bad idea regardless of size. Her likelihood of finding employment would have diminished considerably just with those three stars.
The artist would have put a stencil on her skin for placement. I don't know of any artists who freehand so I sincerely believe she agreed to it because she's 18 and crazy. |

She may have fallen asleep if she had it iced. Back in the old days, cocaine was the 'ice' used to numb the site. And he may have lost the plot if he was indulging too? |

whotta idiot. Outside of the fine arts, sex industry, telemarketing, and a few other professions, she won't find a job.
I'm sure she thought that through though. More to life than just working. |

You'd be surprised. I have 16 and fell asleep during 4 of them. I apprenticed as a piercer at a tattoo shop so I've seen more than my fair of people conk out....but not for as long as it would've taken for her artist to do those. She made a mistake and realized it after it was a bit too late.
There's no way he could've gone over her cheek or nose with her asleep. Hell cheek alone he'd prolly have to put his hand in her mouth, or have her hold it open so he could keep the skin taut enough to ink.
Ah well. |
