This came from my cousin's husband, who is a doctor.
Warning: Shockingly graphic, but funny in a horribly awful sort of way that makes you want to apologize to the guy for even considering laughing.

The message said: This is an actual emergency room photo of a fisherman who lost control of his High Speed Bass Boat in West Virginia
The warden believes he was traveling at a speed of approximately 75 mph at the time of the accident.
He was unable to negotiate a curve in the narrow waterway and unfortunately for him, upon striking the shoreline, he was ejected from the boat and landed on an old fence post.
You can probably picture what happened next, but this photograph really says it all.
The good news is after about 6 months, this man made a full recovery after suffering a shattered hip, broken leg, several broken ribs, internal injuries and soft tissue damage. The doctors credited his recovery to the fact that the post lodged itself so tightly that there was little or no blood loss.
Now, that's got to hurt! |

Did you ever see, going along with this faces of death gruesome thread Bass, the unfortunate guy who was blowing air by mouth into the inflatable boat at the seashore when a kid comes and jumps on the boat, forcing the air back into the guy and his head popped open?
I wish I had never seen it. |

I went over that video probably a hundred times, fast, slow, frame by frame. I couldn't find anything wrong with it, except A: the authors of the video (I forget who) had an entire website devoted to that kind of stuff, and B: there was a either a vapor haze (that you get after releasing intensely pressurized air, PSI dozens of times higher than the child would have caused.) or a smoke haze from a cherry bomb (M80) size charge being detonated inside a meat and blood pack construction.
It might have been Stile project or something.... |

Why? .... Why did I look?
One memory that I'll have to repress.
Don't trip over me, I'm the one in the corner, rocking. |

if you wanna see some gruesome stuff just find a friend who is a police officer and see if they'll show you some crime scene photos. pictures of kids missing part of their head because their parents couldn't lock the gun cabinet stays with you |

That is pretty bad, but far from the worst I've ever seen. Check out crazy[bad word for poo].com if you want to see some really horrible things. |

I had seen this before but it was labeled as a motorcycle accident, not a boat accident, which of course brings up this.

I have a friend back home who is a paramedic and he did some of his training in Tulsa. Met the paramedics that went out on that call. Apparently they all got a few extra days off after that one. |

A few years ago I was talking with a Scenes of Crime police officer in Queensland and he was describing a death that was thought to be drug-related. Apparently the dead man (before he was dead) was driving a car with a passenger in the front seat. Other drivers behind reported seeing the driver bail out of the car but get his foot caught in the seat belt. The passenger then moved across to the driver's seat and started to speed up, all the while leaning out of the open door to shoot at the bumping, dragging ex-driver. After failing to hit the moving target, the new driver then started to speed up and the ex-driver ended up with his body jammed in the wheel arch of the rear wheel. There were bits of him spread over miles of road and there were bloody hand-prints on the rear panel where he had tried to claw himself free before he died. His corpse was jammed so tightly that the rear wheel wouldn't turn and there apparently wasn't a lot of meat left on the body. |
