You can buy a decent gaming rig here and it will cost you much less than $1500. Although i haven't found a set up with better than a 512MB Nvidia GTS250...

Example:
Intel Quad Core 3.0Ghz, 4GB RAM, Nvidia 9800GT 512MB, all for about $500 USD.

Sorry Eamo, he said 9800GT. A quick scan made it look like 9600GT. Still, that card is not strong enough.

Yeah. A 9800GT is basically just an 8800GT. That's a two year old chip!! An awesome card in the latter half of 2007, not now though.

I want to build a new computer. Can anyone recommend a great processor?

Also is there any reason i'm gonna need more than 4 GBs of ram for windows 7?

Also how about a good graphics card I can play games on but also use a dual monitors?

Thanks

Looks good but if you read the comments made by one user, s/he had a lot of trouble with compatibility with Vista and 7. If you really want to run one of those OS's (go for 7!!!) you may want to pick another card.

What do you want the second monitor for? If it is not a graphics intense purposes you can shop around and find a pic video card and use it with your super-dooper hi res card. The last desktop I had was set up that way. The second monitor was used mostly for chatting on the internet, the first to shoot down the red baron, etc.

All these questions can be answered if we knew your budget.
