I plan for classes. I have more than the usual mind you.
I look for new/fun resources and activities on the net for class.
I make new materials for class.
I check email and this board.
I read.
I listen to music.
I talk to my co-teachers when I can.
I put stupid words on the big magnetic board in the English Zone.
Soon I will start planning my camp and the second semester of extra classes (in more detail).
No time for me to be bored! |

Download and watch movies, bring in a book, socialise with your co-teachers, take an extended lunch break, read a few newspapers online, and as an absolute last resort you can always prepare some future lesson plans. |

I was going to work on my summer camp book but I just realized that exams are next week and I will have 4 desk warming days to do it.
I go out for a smoke, maybe walk around the block, take a nap, go here, send some e-mails, watch TV online, maybe watch a movie or documentary. You can study, practice or learn something. I sometimes bring my camera and go over the 400 page manual and try out all the features that I never knew about or haven't tried before. And take another nap. Enjoy.
(I dream about a job where I can just come in and teach my classes and then go home. Heard about it, knew a couple guys that had it and was completely jealous of them.......nice. Myself, I'd rather teach or get out. Not much of a sit around guy.) |

watch-movies-links.net has all the latest movies for free and you don't need to download them to watch. I also blast the red hot chillies on my headphones and look around the office laughing about how different the vibe is from the life of the chillies. |

Google Reader with a heap of RSS feeds from your favorite blogs and websites. That takes at least an hour of my day to catch up on. Most of mine are economics blogs. Onion and AV Club are good, too. Plus the newspaper from your home town is a good way to keep up with events back home.
It's really easy to set up from your gmail account. |

Study some Korean.
Read bible and pray.
Go to the gym in the basement for a workout, or a cool place to snooze.
This vacation my technical HS is going to make a dedicated English Conversation classroom, so hopefully next term I can do more lesson planning.
This term it is just me dialogue and chalk, so I'm hopeful next term will be a better environment, and an easier place for me to sleep and blow my nose. |

So far I don't really know what to do. I mean, Dave's is here I usually end up, because I'm uncomfortable watching movies at school...and my principal likes to randomly show up in my office, lol.
I brought Korean books today to study, and tomorrow I will bring my drawing supplies.
How do you get away with playing WoW or watching movies online?
(surfthechannel.com is also a good place to find movies and tv shows). |
