Basic idea is for students to memorize a 2-3 minute story / essay.
I need 4 or 5 essays for students ranging from 7 to 15...Or 1 topic with 4 different levels of difficulty.
Anyone have anything to share?
Thanks........ |

And this memorisation based speaking is why I had so many parents come up to me after judging Incheons speech competitions and asking why their students/children didn't win. The vocab was supurb and the sentence structure was near perfect. But they was no intonation, emotion or display of understanding of what they were reciting. |

You can't spare a few minutes to write one with each student? |

Everyone at my hagwon has to do the speech contest and i'm the only foreign teacher....so it's my baby to deal with.
Haven't been involved in speech contests before and would be nice to see what people have had students present elsewhere.
No worries if it's too much to ask.... |

Cool, that's the next 2-3 weeks classes sorted then!
Get googling for topics, vocab ideas, sentence construction, and finally intonation and for the most capable students word linking.
Fine tune for delivery. |
