So I was told from my school that if anyone leaves the country, is not allowed back in the school for a week, due to the swine flu. Apparently, this is a UN/CDC/Immigration thing.
So now, we're being told we can't go anywhere for our July vacation.
Has anyone else been told this? |

Our regulation at my hagwon changed from "you are not allowed to leave" to "you are not recommended to leave."
Same deal. If we leave, quarantine for a week, without pay. |

A friend of mine had plans to go back home to the U.S. for a week earlier this month, but her boss told her she couldn't go because of the risk of bringing back swine flu. She fought it, though, and basically told her boss that she had to go. He then made her sign some ridiculous form agreeing to give up her month's pay and help find a replacement teacher if, in fact, she did come back with swine flu. (Which didn't happen, of course.)
She works for a Hagwon, not a public school. I'm not sure if that would make a difference, but it seems possible that they're lying to you. |
