I definitely don't want kids. One-hundred percent. I figure it might make sense to get this operation while I have health insurance and am in a country with cheap health costs (I'm from America).
Anyone know any relevant information or have any experience they can share? Just how expensive and complicated a procedure is this? |

If I were you, I would PM Dr. Love. He works at a university medical center and he can help you out. He personally referred me to a few people there (I went to the women's clinic and the Oriental Medicine Clinic) and I had a good experience. |

I'd say get some tweezers and a pocketknife and about 10 bottles of soju. |

Our center's Urology Department can handle this procedure for you.
I am afraid that it is not covered under national health insurance. (The Korean gov't does not want to support anything that will lead to a further decline in the birthrate)
You can make an appointment by calling 02-440-7304 or send me a pm if you have any questions. |

Hmmph. Immigrate to NZ, live here for 2 years, become a permanant resident, and then get WINZ to pay for it for you. |

I was going to post about doing it himself before I saw your post. Very easy to do. But no soju. Must be able to focus well. He can have some after. Very easy to do. |

I had some exceptionally amazing medicine when I had it done. Some quite largish yellow pills. Was like really out of it. Wonder what they were. Wasn't Korea but.
Probably just give you a bottle of soju here. |

Cost 200000 won at a private hospital, if that makes a difference.
Local anaesthetic (didn't take on the right, bit uncomfortable)
One small incision, tubes dragged over, cut and cauterized. One stitch? can't remember.
Out the door, drove home. (Carefully)
Three weeks no nookie.
After three months, sperm count and given the all clear.
Final all clear test was another 15000won or so. |

I got mine done at a hospital in Itaewon (SoonChunHyang Univ. Hosp.):

The guy doing the procedure said the anaesthetic/needle would feel like a slight pinch. I asked how many pinches he's going to give me. He said two. I said you better make that six. He did. Didn't feel a thing. |

I thought about the potential of cryogenically freezing my little ones and then having a vasectomy. Then I could be very selective when I want to have kids while being a complete manwhore. I could even have a kid without transmitting any horrible terminal sex diseases. We are living in good times, people. |

Thanks for all the responses, guys. I'll be pm'ing a few of you.
Oh, and to a few of you... should I assume you're joking about doing it yourself? I have a very high pain threshold... |
