My laptop isnt working, looking around on the internet I think it might be "motherboard failure."
Where is a good place to get this fixed? I live near Hanti station. |

If you know exactly what's wrong with it, order parts online (Ebay is your friend, lol) and it'll be a hell of a lot cheaper (and quicker) to get things fixed... |

Replace the motherboard of a laptop!! Good luck with that!!
To be honest, if it is a fatal hardware breakdown, and the thing is out of warranty, you might think about getting a nice new shiny laptop. Or desktop.
The only thing that can be easily fixed in laptops is RAM and hard drive. Other stuff is costly and maybe impossible.
Desktops are cheaper to buy and much easier to fix and/or upgrade. When you leave Korea you can sell a desktop pretty easily to another foreigner you know or here on Dave's buy/sell/trade forum.
I've sold two desktops to Dave's members with no problems. |

It's not that difficult to take apart a laptop and replace stuff, even motherboards. I've done it a couple of times. It all depends on what laptop you have. |

Well, my laptop isn't working. I am not going to bother trying to repair it.
The keyboard has some problems. I think you're probably concerned about retrieving your data. It can cost a pretty penny to fix a laptop.
I would recommend folks backing up their computers. I am not sure how much it would cost to repair one. Laptops are not so easy to take apart.
Backing up data helps those who have damaged computers just get another one. |
