The Cavaliers' uncalled offensive fouls and uncalled traveling violations are about to double.

If the Cavaliers win the title next year then everyone will say "LeBron can't win without Shaq" after the Big Diesel's contract runs out.

Shaq is a cancer.
He's going to make things worse and clog up the lanes for Lebron.

my thoughts exactly. This just seems like a $20 million desperation play in order to win the championship next year so LeBron will stay. The Cavs will let Shaq's contract expire because they will not be able to afford LeBron and Shaq. Look for LeBron to get close to $25 million per year from some team. It would be nice if that team happened to be my Bobcats, but I very much doubt he'll go to such a small market.

The Cavs are fighting the inevitable. He's going to end up going to New York for some obscene amount of cash. I think if he does that, New York has a better chance of bringing in fresh talent, opposed to some 300 pound out-of-their-prime ogre.

New York's chances hinge largely on the draft. If the draft the right person (read: Stephen Curry, a good friend of LeBron's) then he would definitely have more incentive to change scenery

I think it works, Big Z and Shaq are both up there in age but have gas left in the tank. I think them spelling each other will help them both be more effective. Shaq is in a contract year too. They also got him for 2 basically nothing players as Ben Wallace is a shell of his former self. I do think it will hurt Lebron a little early as he does clog the lane like the other poster said but if Shaq is healthy come playoff time its a gamble that should pay off with a final appearance. Then again the Magic got Vince Carter so that is actually in doubt....kinda forgot about that trade....

If Bynum averages half (ppg) of what Shaq averaged this past season, Lakers will repeat.

The Lakers, Cavs, and Magic will still be the top 3, but I see San Antonio getting back to championship form. San Antonio will be able to light it up adding Richard Jefferson and Jack McClinton. If Greg Popovich would let this team run they could outscore any team in the league. They only have a few more years left in Tim Duncan though, so they have to work around him.

If Shaq does what he does when he goes to a new team he will be in better shape than usual, score more and rebound more than the previous year. I was a Shaq fan when he actually played D and played with some passion. Lebron is a beast, no doubt, but he has got to get a consistant shot.

Shaq's role should be defender on this team. LeBron, Daniel Gibson, Mo Williams, Delonte West, and Wally should be enough to handle the scoring load. The problem was that James had to play too much D last year when Ben Wallace sucked and Z kept getting hurt. The Diesel will still give 10 or 15 points a night, but the main thing the Cavs need is rebounding and a large presence in the middle on D.

When Garnett returns Celtics will challenge again. Shaq, what a joker, anyone seen Dwight Howard's impersonation of him on Youtube, its funny as...

And Vince Carter has gone to Orlando...

I haven't followed sports in many years...but I just remember that the Cavs were the worst team in the NBA when I was in high school. Funny how those things turn around.....
