I like to keep myself presentable and well groomed, and there's nothing gay about that. The fact that the boy bands are all well groomed and are a hit with the KOREAN (and other Asian) women is a testament to that.
I do agree that there are a few guys who go a bit excessive but truth be told, many who complain about this seem to be expats who have the hygiene habits (or lack thereof) of inbred cavemen. |

Yea, I'd never take advice from a Japanese female on ANYthing. |

Okay- Face tonic; the occasional eye cream to prevent massive dark circles and 'bad face' comments; Nice Dress Clothes; Cleanliness; Complexion Clearing Products; A sense of style;
Are you on crack?- Girdles, Lip Gloss and Waxing. I think the line get officially drawn at teh point past shaving your eyebrows.
To the OP....If its okay for Lahey and Randy, it's okay for Korea.
Beside wasn't it Corey and Trevor who were like "Gay this and Gay that" and who was gay?
Also, if there is one borderline thing I love and will back up everyday- It's the 'Man Bag'/Murse Given that in Korea I need to carry for more things around town- school materials, e-dictionary, toilet products, books for reading, cigs, etc. The man bag pays off. Backpacks look retarded if you are in your late 20s or older and wearing dress clothes.
Question: Is the Korean H.S. kid riding his sister's pink bike with white basket A)Manly- because he don't give an F or B)Gay- because, well, he's riding a pink bicycle with a white basket? |

You seem to not understand that there is a happy medium between backpack and Luis Vuitton knockoff purse... |

Girly Goods for Men Selling Well
Korean men in their 20s and 30s are becoming more feminine, not only by paying more attention to grooming but by wearing girdles, waxing their arms and legs, and crimping or straightening their hair.
Lotte Department Store sales records show that the proportion of men in their 20s among customers of hair curlers or irons rose from 10 percent last year to 35 percent this year. In Hyundai Department Store, the number of male customers in their 20s who bought waxing items for legs and arms increased by 34 percent since last year. And each branch of the department sells a monthly average of 50 girdles for men since their launch in October last year. Even the number of 20-something men who bought lip gloss went up 16 percent from a year ago.
In fashion, scarves now also seem to appeal to men. "A lot of male customers buy scarves because they are versatile -- you can put them around your neck like a cravat and wear them with a shirt, or you can tie it like a necktie," a Lotte spokesman said. Colorful skinny jeans, made popular among women by a girl group Girls' Generation, are also popular among men. The imported stock for men completely sold out just four months after they were launched.
"This is more than just a desire to copy celebrities," said Kim Ran-do, a professor of consumer behavior at Seoul National University. "It's a global trend that comes from the dismantlement of traditional gender distinctions that emphasize masculinity, and the emergence of feminine values."

To be fair, most men seem to wear girdles because they have bad backs. I bet the girdles sell better to the over 40 somethings.
I've bought hair removal stuff before. Didn't know it was girly to remove the hair on my back. |

I believe the 'man bag' (my old laptop bag sans laptop) is in fact, the happy medium.
Just makes sure its solid black or olive drab. |

| That hair curler thing is the fault of Goo Joon Pyo, and Goo Joon Pyo alone. |
