				| I want to see if anyone knows before I lay down the cash.
My xbox 360's power brick was getting hot. Then the light turned red. I let it cool down for 24 hours, now I get no light and can't turn on the xbox. Will a replacement power brick solve this, or could the problem be with the 360?

				| Best bet would be to try a friend's power brick if possible or take the xbox with you when you go to check out a new power brick. | |

				| Was it a Korean power brick or did you stick an adapter on the end of an American one? Sounds a lot like a voltage problem. | |

This may be a stupid question to ask, but is the transformer still functioning? Sometimes their fuse needs to be replaced.

Well, you already know it's one or the other. I'm going to guess that the brick(or maybe just a fuse in it - sorry, don't know a helluva lot about them) is the problem...the bricks are supposed to be the ones to help the box itself from frying I think. You probably already did this too, but check the main power cable going into the box...I had the ringer before and it was because the cord wasn't inserted fully...never had the problem since(yet). I have an American system too and would gladly bring the brick over for you to give it a test, but that's hard when I'm in Busan. As chevro1et said, just bring the whole mess to Yongsan, or wherever you go, and hope for the best. I'm assuming that they've dealt with NA systems before...?

				| I had to buy a replacement brick for mine, and they aren't that easy to find here.
I got quoted some ridiculous prices (70,000-100,000 if they even had it), but found a guy willing to sell it for 40,000. If you cross the street from the side with video game alley at the top of the hill, go into the underground market. There should be random computer stuff right at the bottom of the stairs, and a DVD place on your left. Take the left fork, and it is the video game booth straight ahead.
