Will my friend from the States who is coming to visit be quarantined?

Would suck if they were quarantined for the whole time then had to go home before they could get out into the city.

Naww... a general quarantine for visitors would really piss off the Korean Tourist Organization and things wouldn't seem so 'sparkly' any more.

I went back home in May right when all this started happening, and if it's still the same they won't quarantine you unless have the symptoms, or somebody on the plane has the symptoms. They ask you to fill out a questionaire, with simple stuff. What country did you visit? Do you have any flu like symptoms? Then you get off the plane, they check your temperature with this thing behind your ear and you go on to the immigration check and get your luggage and leave. They did call me about 4 days later and they asked me again if I had any flu like symptoms.. I told them no and that was it.

Just be sure your friend has your school address and a phone number for the immigration forms.

I went to Seattle and back in May and I didn't have any problems. They just wanted to take my temperature and fill out a piece of paper and that was it. Nothing else.

I flew in they had us fill out a piece of paper on the plane. No problem.

Plus, you're through immigration so fast, I doubt they could stop you if someone at the back of the plane is contagious
