I've been to the Coex one several times with no complaints. It's a little pricey, but no more than TGI Friday's or other similar level western restaurants. I'm no expert on TexMex, but I love the brisket tacos, and the margaritas are very tasty, if not authentic (they have sugar rather than salt around the glass' rim, and I suspect that they're full of HFCS).
The service is good, the portions are generous, the complimentary corn chips and salsa are abundant, there's usually at least one staff member around who speaks decent English, and considering that I don't think anyone expects authentic Mexican food from OTB, what is there to complain about? |

I feel the same. My friend and I ordered 1 dish to share.. that along with the salsa and chips were more than enough to fill us plus leave us leftovers. We were very satisfied  They also gave us some coupons. Free something guacamole live/ultimate loaded queso/or 2mugs of margaritas if you come 10 days before or after your birthday, and then another OTB club card.. each time you come its another 5% off. First 5% then 10% then 15% etc.. |

| Forget the mexican food. Coex has a Pizzeria Uno. Chicago style - King of pizzas. |

Pizzeria Uno is okay... but don't you dare call it the King of pizzas. It's decent but nowhere near as good as Lou Malnati's or Giordanos. I'd probably even rate Nancy's over Pizzeria Uno. |

| Sorry that I didn't elaborate before. I found it to be very poor Tex-Mex food. It reminded me of freezer/micro food that you can buy at the supermarket back home. Dos Tacos is much much better (I used to live a minute's walk from the one in Sinsa and miss that place). The chips were taco shells halved. The place was not that busy, but service was slow. I most definitely won't be going back. What's up with serving beer in a margarita glass? Oh well, I'll be going home to Orlando soon and will go to Beto's to get some real Mexican food. |

If you mean Florida Mex, well, you might be surprised. In the last 15 to 20 years there has been a large influx of Mexican workers to the state, at least in some cities. I know the Sarasota/Bradenton area has a fairly large population.
I used to go to this little taco stand owned and operated by a really nice Mexican family, and man it was good. The burritos were big and thick and had grease running out of them, and even though I am a bit of a health nut at times, I didn't care, because they were muy deliciosa!! |

| I don't know what Flo-Mex is either (although I know what you are getting at). Beto's is as authentic Mexican as you can get without being in country. It is owned by and cooked by Mexican immigrants. *Shudder* all you want on that. It's delicious! |

I was also disappointed with On The Border, COEX.
Service was weird, they brought drinks long after the food was served, the food was too oily and very like supermarket frozen stuff. |

Hey I grew up in Orlando. Which part of town is it? I never heard of it, but then again, I have been gone for 10 years. |
