| It has HDMI and VGA ports. You need to see if your TV has either of those. If it's an HDTV, it probably does, otherwise you're out of luck (unless you but some sort of adapter). |

I just checked and it doesn't have either port... it's a pretty old TV. I know you said I may be out of luck, but then mentioned an adapter. Do you have any more info. on that?
I have the feeling that I am in fact out of luck, as there are only 2 of the same plugs/ports in the back, and they both look like cable tv outlets.
Please let me know if I have any chance at making this work. |

I didn't read all of your specs. in that link, but it looks like there is a S-video output next to the VGA?
If nothing else you can buy a cheap adapter that will convert a vga signal to either a RCA video or S-video and scale it and interlace the signal.
If you need the adapter let me know. |

That's actually where the AC Adapter connects to. I couldn't find the link I had looked at a while ago, but I'm almost positive I saw something like "S-video: No" so if I am able to connect using an adapter, that would be great. Could you please point me in the right direction? Thanks! |

There are some really cheap VGA to S-video adapters, but they only work if your video card supports it, which yours probably doesn't. (But the adapter is probably only around 1000 won, so it wouldn't hurt to try)
But you going about this the wrong way in the first place. The point is to hook your TV up to your computer monitor, not the other way around. Computer footage usually looks horrible on the TV. What you need to get is a cheap used high definition computer monitor, and hook your TV/Movies up through that. You could find one for under a 100 bucks, and you most likely would be much more satisfied with the results.
I never hook up my computer to my old tube TV, as now I'm addicted to higher resolutions. Don't think I'll ever own a tube again. Flat panel is so cheap if you don't mind staying under 24 inches. |

I think he/she wants to watch movies from the computer on their tv. movies and tv looks fine through s video (well not hd but better than nothing)
However as both hdmi and vga a digital signals, and svid and rca are analog. I hate to say it but you may have to upgrade tvs
A 32 inch can be picked up for 5-600 while a 42 can be picked up for 8-900 |

I just bought a new TV, but the adapter I have is also a converter. It will scale a digital signal, convert it to analog and interlace it so that any computer will display on a standard analog TV. The picture is pretty good too.
When I used it I preferred the lower resolution on a 32 TV to higher resolution on a 17" laptop. It basically looks as good as a DVD; not to bad at all for a smaller TV. Plus you get better colors and dark blacks than you don't get on a laptop.
It was actually kind of a hard adapter to find, but they are cheap. I think under 40,000 new.
When I get home I will try to give you the brand and model number. Mine is an older one, and I know that they made new models, but they are more expensive. |

I'm about to go stateside, and was planning on getting this when I go back as my all-in-one source of games/movies/tv/computering.
Let me know if you have a better rec.

I just upgraded from my 21'' widescreen Viewsonic to an LG 27'' widescreen.
It has absolutely been a revelation. All my games seem like new again at 1920x1080p. Amazing brightness and clarity. Every connection you could dream of around the back.
My best tech buy for years. 500,000.
27''.......2ms response time......TV tuner.......400cd brightness.......
This one.

Highly recommended.....one little downside is the poor viewing angle. TN panels. What can you do.....doesn't really matter much if you're going to use it on a desk with an office chair. |
