At the moment, I'm learning Korean. I'm still a fairly low level, but am a bit serious about learning the language (at least for the duration of time I'm in Korea).

I'd prefer something electronic, but when I was browsing electronic dictionaries before, they were more suited for Koreans learning English.

Understandably so...

The fellow at the Daegu electronics market said that a lot of the dictionaries had the same software.

But if I get an electronic dictionary, I want it to specify what Korean word goes with what definition. I already have a Korean/English dictionary on my phone but sometimes I find it useless.

I can think of three definitions for the word 'date' off the top of my head, and the dictionary fails to tell me which word goes with which definition (at least in English). It is a cell phone dictionary, so I don't expect miracles. But I'm hoping that someone has a recommendation for what I desire of a dictionary.

Better still if the dictionary could explain languages nuances in English, but I think that this is expecting too much.

I don't mind buying a paper dictionary if there is nothing electronic that fits my description.

Thanks in advance for the help!

if you want to know what word goes with what definition translate back, that is what I do. You won't find a dictionary in Korea with that kind of software.
So if I look up watch and get 500 words, I take a random stab at what I think it is, select the korean word and see what it translates back to, not it? then its probably not any of the other words in that #1. In my dictionary after each number is a korean word in brackets, I think this actually tells you the general sense of the word.
If I look up date, I get 1. (특정) 날짜.. blah blah blah, if I click 날짜 I found out it means:
a date, dating, the fixed date, the appointed day, etc

this is really the best you're going to do.
if your phone won't let you choose words in a definition and translate them, consider getting a new phone.
There really haven't been that many english speakers who want to learn Korean compared to koreans who want to learn english so a lot of the advanced features you find for learning english just aren't available the other way around.
