I just received an e-mail from EPIK in the form of a newsletter. Does everyone that applied through EPIK receive this? I have yet to receive my contract. Does this e-mail only go to those that have been accepted or to everyone. Thanks! |

I didn't get one.
Maybe it's on the way though.
Is there any information in it that would be good to know? |

Actually I think the newsletter was mistakenly sent to me. It states
"It has already been four months since I welcomed you to the 2009 Orientation for the English Program in Korea this February. By now, you must have well adapted yourself to many aspects of Korean culture. I hope that your transition to Korea has been smooth. All the staff members at the EPIK team, your co-teachers, and supervisors/coordinators of your Office of Education are doing their best to help you teach English and learn Korean culture."
As far as I know, I'm still in the US haha. |

I got the same one. The newsletter also states
"The 2009 Fall Orientation will be held in two different locations (the National Institute for International Education and Jeonju University for over 630 Fall 2009 EPIK GETs. In addition, there will be about 16 other training sessions for GETs, Korean co-teachers, school administrators, and Korean English lecturers this Fall."
Which is interesting cause I thought that EPIK was only taking 539 new GETs. |

Hmm...I wonder why I didn't get it. I'm guessing either my e-mail filtered it out as spam, or I'm not on their list for some reason.
If I PM one of you my e-mail address, could you forward it to me? |

Where exactly did you find the information about the Fall orientation? I can only find information about the February orientation that already passed. |

I clicked on the "Support Team" link in the "General News" section of the newsletter e-mail.
Here's the link:

Thanks for that.
I also received the email but missed this - thought it was for teachers already in Korea.
*mental note* must pay closer attention to epik emails in future |
