Really? In the summer I wear my stars and stripes bikini, while roller-skating, often eating ice cream, with my long, brown hair in pigtails.

Yeah, but what do you think the chances are anyone notices the bikini?

Who are these "Americans" that have Canadian flags on their bags? They are like Big Foot, or the Lock Ness Monster. You always hear a Canadian say, "Americans pretend to be Canadians" yet when you ask them for a name they can't come up with one.

Personally, I have no problems with Canadians putting the maple leaf on their stuff. It makes it easier for me to greet them and say, "Hey, what part of Canada are you from?"

A bikini is a whole other story.....you can wear what ever flag you like on your breasts...not one person will notice what flag it is....and thank you so much for wearing a bikini....really, thank you.

Nice, that's really hot.

I can often be seen by the banks of the Han River in summertime wearing only my Union Jack jockstrap and Doc Marten boots.

I don't get much positive attention but me old Mum says I look the bollox.

You and I would look cool together! Good pr for transatlantic relations... Laughing

It's just a cool international icon. Heck some people plaster their luggage with all kinds of flags, symbols, and iconic images of worldly places like the Eiffel Tower.

The maple leaf sewn into a backpack looks like a good way to say, "I'm American, but not from the USA."

Canadians aren't Americans. They are Norh Americans. There are also South Americans, Central Americans, and People from the Americas, but Americans are all from the same country.

I encourage every canadian who thinks the world has nothing but fluffy bunny feelings for them to sew on a flag and backpack around mexico or central america or wherever canadian companies are kicking the ass of the locals to turn a profit on oil. It would be interesting to see what kind of reception you get there. Then you can take a trip to afghanistan and do a cross cultural comparison of local responses. I hypothesise they would be fairly similar.

For those of you who aren't Canadian or haven't lived in Canada you'll never know the great feeling of being happy that you live in one of the safest and best place in the world.

Happy Canada day for yesterday...
