That was disgusting.
Hasbero made that movie. A bloody toy company. Kids are supposed to watch it. And take in that representation of gender roles. Girls can be quirky and know stuff, but they definitely have to be super hot and scantily clad. Great message.
Universities are full of super models who get creepy stalkery at the first sight of average looking guys.
I left at the part where the apple rolled off the prof’s foot (played by that guy from the office) onto the floor and into the hands of the super pretty girl who sexily mouthed “thank you”. Someone outside of the porn industry actually sat down and thought that was appropriate and normal for film. The tiresome infatuated university girl role has been used before (indy, raiders) but eating food off the floor?
I foresee the Baroness doing a pole dance and Scarlet licking Duke’s boots to top that.
I loved transformers when I was a kid. Man, before I left I noticed optimus rocked, soundwave rocked, ravage fricking rocked. Ironhide should have been a little worse for wear in my opinion, but I was loving the nostalgia and getting really excited. Then I was brutally eye raped. Hasbero left a steaming hot carl in my brain and I did not give them the ok for that. I want justice. |

NEWSFLASH: Men objectify women.
We can't help it. It's an instinct acquired from millions of years of evolution. Humans are, after all, animals. Recent studies even show that the area of the brain men use when aroused by a beautiful woman is exactly the same as that used when viewing objects and tools. As such, I absolutely fail to see why it should be suppressed, particularly to appease insane liberals. |

Oh, he was quite thought provoking. I am currently entertaining many vivid and graphic thoughts about where he can repeatedly shove his metal robot dolls- the ones witht the big clunky parts. I get to chose the decepticons he uses. Did they eve come out with a devistator toy? |

I think the movie industry adapts remakes to attract older viewers nowadays. They didn't realize how many adults would love Harry Potter...I have noticed cartoon/comic film adaptations often have a more "adult" feel to them...sorry for the pun.
Nonetheless, I haven't seen the movie yet. How many female characters are in the movie? |

I thought this particular aspect of the movie carried a clear message reflecting the dangers of pre-marital sex and promiscuity. Although Megan Fox's boobs bouncing around the screen did leave me with black eyes. |

Hmmm, by way of female "characters" there was excessively hot girlfriend chick (yes, there can be too much hotness- just watch!), the super-stereotypical mom as part of the super stereotypical parental set, and another super hot student girl who seemed to want nothing more than to jump the bones of the main character guy Sam. I think she appeared to show what a great fella Sam is for not cheating on his porn star hot girlfriend on the first day of uni. And so we can all laugh when bumble bee spurts some yellow gunk in her face- I’d accuse someone of using symbolism here, but I think they’d have to understand the meaning of the word first.
Prime did use the name of a female transformer I remember from the 1986 animated movie. She was the pink transformer- girls like pink, right? Her name was Arcee (I googled the spelling) and she seems to come out for the first fight (I remember a transformer with boobs) but she did and said nothing since. I think the director decided to scrap the girls in the boy’s clubhouse unless they were overtly playboy material. If you’re selling cool toys and sex to children, you’d probably want to draw a distinct line between the cool toys and the sex. I can imagine a little self doubt and perversion coming from a kid having unholy thoughts about his brand new and boobed Arcee doll.
Oh, and here I am blithering about sexism when it was racist as hell, too. They made up a character just so they could do some African-American stereotyping. Someone earning a degree should do a paper comparing the racial stereotyping in that movie to the kind they used in the silent pictures back in the 30’s.
You should definitely see it as a study in awfulness. I refuse to give them my money, but I may download it for science. |

Stereotyping? I think it's a pretty accurate reflection of modern adolescence in America. Not just black adolescence. A lot of western teenagers act stupid (ie use slang when they know how to speak proper English, act like they are not educated) and love hip hop these days. It's pop culture reflected in THE pop culture blockbuster of summer 2009. Also, and I know it might be a new trend or something, but Hollywood uses sex to sell movies!!! |

I didn't make any claims about people making a complaint. I was mentioning a fact about the movie. Sure, changes need to be made in society, but that doesn't mean the movie was stereotyping. |

Maybe you should finish watching the movie before complaining and saying things that turn out to not be true.
There were female transformers in the movie (the motorcycles) and the hot college girl had more of a role than you think.
Oh, and there are a lot of hot girls in college who want nothing more than to have sex and party, just like a lot of guys. |
