Of course the first thing I thought was Jordan, Rodman, and Jackson.
Now we got Kobe, Artest and Jackson. Ronron taking a pay cut too.
Granted Ariza is getting a longer deal than Artest but wouldn't going after Ariza have been the more logical option...? Younger, more upside, more stable. |

He came first but offered nothing whatsoever in the way of stimulating conversation.
I'm glad I didn't find that thread. |

Fair enough.
It'll be interesting to see how this works out...
That said, I'm a Cavs/LeBron fan. I'm more interested in how Shaq/LeBron is gonna work out. I'm worried Shaq is too old... |

If Cleveland was warmer, had beaches and was less Clevelandy we could've gotten Artest. Oh well. Looks like we'll be sorting through the scraps of old dudes and mysterious, unproven Europeans. |

Ya Shaq was looking a bit fat there at the press conference.
Cavs added another European to the mix? Google time...
Less Clevlandy... haha. Artest is an amazing rapper as I recall, where better to show off his skillz than LA right? |

Well, not yet, but they may be looking into Linas Kleiza. Better than Pavlovic at least. |

The sad thing is somehow they made it to the Finals with Pavlovic starting, IIRC...and this year they got trashed by the Magic, even with their new, "upgraded" roster... |

Look for Danny Green to get a lot of playing time at the end of the season. I watched him for 4 years and after his first year I was saying that whoever ended up with him in the NBA would get a great player. He may not have All-Star written all over him but it will come to play every game and fill the stat sheet. Cleveland did add a European player with the 30th pick in this year's draft: Mr. Christian Eyenga from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Guy barely played in Spain and when he did he was less than dominate. They probably should've picked up DeJuan Blair or Derrick Brown. |

No I shouldn't, but your sarcasm stings me oh so bad. Stay on topic or stay bitter.
Cleveland was taking a shot in the dark with that African dude right? Blair woulda been best. Lebron needs production from his role players now. |

Why would they want Ariza is Kobe wants to continue winning titles? Every other team is going to improve, and Artest>Ariza. Kobe isn't worried about anything else, he just wants titles. If Artest can squeeze out two or three good years and secure some more rings, that's all Kobe needs. |

I heard they picked Eyenga because they won't have to pay him this year, since he'll most likely be playing in Spain. I don't know if that's true or not. I still wish they would have picked someone who could produce, sold the pick for cash, or included it in a trade. Oh well. I agree with asams that Danny Green was a great 2nd round pick. |
