Riding a bus all the way from Seoul to Jeonju should be great...especially right after my flight halfway around the world...

Can anybody tell me anything about Jeonju? I'm not looking to party my way through orientation week or anything, but hopefully there's a noraebang place somewhere near the campus or something...

The link seems to be broken. Is the EPIK page down for anyone else?

I sense this will not be your first visit to K-land. If so, you know you can get Hite/soju at the airport... and have a party with the naive newbies on their new 'adventure'. Stay semi-sober and get them hammered. It's enlightening to say the least. Laughing

Actually, I haven't been to K-land before. However, I lived in the Japan for a bit, so I have an idea about of how alcohol, singing boxes, and other things work in Asia. And it probably means I won't be hit as hard by the "OMG I'm in a foreign country THIS IS CRAZY" deer-in-headlights feeling that accompanies moving somewhere unfamiliar.

So, while I'll probably still crap my pants, I think I can probably hold it together well enough to take your advice. Sounds fun! Cool

I notice it only states jeonju but i recall reading in the newsletter that orientation will take place in two locations, the other being at the national institute for international education. oh well, we'll eventually find out after we arrive next month...
