Guys, I know that my frequent info makes you board but plz be paitient for my better service as a worker for all of you in Korea.
I just let you know that I'm dealing with matters that most foreigners are struggling with during stay in Korea seroiulsy as a part of Gyeonggi-do government. After my effort to inform others via daveseslcafe.com, and some of viewers have contacted for some help. My general function in the govt office is to assist for you with...
1. metro info (free text message can be sent if required)
I darly say that most foreingers have problems of taking subways, buses, taxies, trains, ferries, etc day by day because I've dealt with so many complaints from civilian. With the Gbis System I use almost you'd be getting instant metro info through me.
2. free interpretation service (Korean <--> English)
Language barrier is much hindering your stay in Korea a lot. And it seems to be impossible to visit local councils by yourself without others' help in order to report or hand in some documents. The free 'conference call for personal or business use with me is a good way that you don't need to find out people who can speak english around you everytime.
3. live G.P.S.
Getting lost in street is a big trouble especially in the area you've never visited before. With detalied satelite pictures I preferbly use you also don't have to look around with your eyes wide to see the correct direction for long time. (It really wastes your time!)
4. avoid traffic jam (for drivers)
Geyonggido govt has made contrct with couple of companies which are providing instant traffic info on roads and highways, and you also can get to know how to avoid bad traffic jam due to the accidents or else via me in advance. (Sounds amazing isn't it?) And with this programs you can drive the perfect and safe way to new area by car as well.
5. get knowledge of systems (social welfare, advantages for foreign investors, city councils, municipal ordinances.railways laws...)
It's not easy to access above info due to the shortage of english versions, but at least you can have the understanding how they work in Korea in practical ways.
6. environmental report (food,air/water pollutions,garbages,...)
World is facing serious climate changes and it's not a kind of scientists' stuff any longer. That means you can be a part of ecologists who actually change the world via reports. General procedure after the report environmental inspectors would be investigating the area, buses, taxies, cars, factories, rivers, mountains, and so on for protections.
7. tips for living in Korea
'what if my toilet is stuck?' 'how I can fix my water pipe?' 'my pet is sick!' these sort of matters are actually important to be handled but not ready to breakthrough. I can easily and quickly access the info of hundreds of shops, hospitals, clinics, repair shops, cable tv companies, banks, whatsoever to help you reach the closest ones in a short time through the internet. (What about Korean language? Oh, you just forget to ask 'free conference call' ^^)
8. civil petitions (complaints,proposals)
Having problems of above things (including tourism, metro,no english service in some local councils, etc) are not unusal happenings in life, but mostly I feel that most foreign residents don't know how to claim to put things right as residents. (got 100% agreed?) Just remember that you also are living in one of the democratic countries in Asia. Your petitions are generally about to be handed over the right councils(or to the courts if necessary) through my help in order to follow civil laws.
9. Now call 031 120 and ask to transfer to Josh for english service, I'd be with you from mon to fri 9am to 6pm. Or just leave your number and I'd contact you to save your phone bills as soon as possible.
Many many thanks for your long-suffering for reading. I pretty much appreciate and do my best as long as I stay in Korea. Cheers! |
On the first line you spelt board wrong. It should be bored...Just to let you know...I'm not picking on your spelling but just giving you a tip. |

idiot. It's a free service that is very helpful. So what if there are a couple of mistakes? There was no need for that slightly mocking comment |

Thanks for correction and care. I was in a hurry to just put ads quickly. And my second language english is not a simple thing to do for me. Now I'm working on this info much clear for foreign residents right now. The one thing I'm concerning is how to inform this free service for foreign residents effectively through online.^^; |

Sounds useful.
I think it'd be pretty cool if people were handed a pamphlet with useful phone numbers like this one upon arrival at Incheon airport. Korea isn't always the easiest place to deal with for non-Korean speaking visitors or workers and most people simply aren't aware of the free services available to us.
Good luck Josh. |

Thank you very much for the service! Seems great, and I've already got the number programmed into my phone.
I sure do love Gyeonggi-do. |
