Ya, stop trying to confuse everyone!
Carrefour is Ka-reh-poo or puh.
Golf is gol-puh.
Trust me, I have a Konglish speaker in the other room. |

get in an ansan taxi and say yu wanna go to "Ka-reh-poo" and they will look at yu in that peculiarly vacant way that korean taxi drivers have - but say "Garrep" - and they will nod equally blankly and take yu where yu wanna go.
must be an ansan thing..... |

yeah...I was curious about the French. I could have guessed the Korean! |
Carrefour in French is pronounced something like the thing you drive plus the number after three. But you do the throaty French thing with the 'r'. Incidentally, carrefour in French also means intersection as in "at the intersection of 5th and Oak."
Carrefour stores always have an international food section, but the selection of goods varies from store to store. They also have a nice selection of wines si cela vous interet.
If anyone needs help finding Carrefour in Daegu or Incheon, I'm your guy. Any others, you're on your own |

Getting to the one in Cheong ju is easy- it's right in the middle of downtown. "Shinae, ka juseyo" will get you there. |
