I'm sure I am not the only one thinking this.
Just since May 23, 2009:
Ex-President Roh jumps off a mountain to his death.
Senator John Ensign, a likely 2012 prez hopeful, is outed for an affair by his mistress' cuckolded husband.
Another 2012 hopeful, Governor Mark Sanford goes missing for 5 days, only to return telling tales of his star crossed love for an Argentinan soul mate.
Michael Jackson dies suddenly at age 51. What else is there to say?
Billy Mays, the tv home shopping guy goes to bed complaining of feeling poorly after a rough landing earlier that day and reports that he was hit on the head by a suitcase. He never wakes up, though his death apparently had nothing to do with the landing.
Steve McNair is shot and killed in an apparent, repeat apparent, murder-suicide along with a woman he had been seeing who was not his wife.
These events are just off the top of my head. I feel like I am forgetting something. I was going to mention something about a python that happened in Florida but it is too gruesome to think about.
I did not mention Farrah's passing because it was somewhat expected as she had been sick a long time. It still affected me though as I saw her famous poster everywhere when I was a teenager. Makes me feel old!!
Anyway, what in the world is going on?? |

I knew I forgot something. Sarah Palin's resignation and rambling press conference. |

North Korea launched 5 crap Russian SCUDs on the 4th of July, just to be a *beep*. December 21st 2012 - Flush this rock down the cosmic comode. The planet is just getting warmed up (no pun intended). Watch the world events over the next 3+ years. Can you feel it? |

In case you weren't aware, the world is quite a big place. There are over 200 countries in the world, many who don't get on with others, populated by over 6 billion people.
The 20th C built up a huge culture of fame. There are literally tens of thousands of famous people, all constantly pushed at us by a voracious media industry who make their money by giving us as much stimulation and sensation as they can.
TV, radio, print media and internet make all this stuff much more important than it actually is. An ex-president of a small North-East Asian country jumping off a cliff isn't really important in the big scheme of things. Neither is a has-been pop star having a heart attack and shuffling off.
Don't worry. When you consider how big and complex our world has become........none of this stuff is really out of the ordinary. |

Did this one quote make you think that I thought these events were some how pointing to the end of days? Yeah right, Michael Jackson's death is a sure sign of the Apocalypse!! Run for the hills everybody!!

Yes, I am aware. Again, what does this have to do with my post? What did I say about hostilities among nations?

Thanks eamo, for your profound analysis of the world. I am not sure what it has to do with my observation that there have been a string of bizarre events, but thanks all the same. |

^ Well, just trying to say that in this crazy, mixed-up, shook-up world, your string of 'bizarre' events aren't so bizarre. In fact, mad sh*it is to be expected. |

Agreed! But I wasn't looking for any deeper meaning anyway. |

Didn't Ed McMahon die in that time frame?
And let's not forget that other thread about the dead midget wrestlers with the hookers |
