So I want to order something from gmart and transfer it directly from my nonghyup bank account.

So I go to the item I want to order, click on Buy Now.

And then it goes to the order form and the only payment options that are available to click are Gaccount(Cash Balance), Paypal, and Foreigner Credit card. I'm assuming "Sending Money(Private Account)" is the bank transfer, but it won't let me check that option.

I've already registered for an account and my ARC number on the site, so what else do I need to do?

Oh yeah, if I order stuff and I'm not at home, do they leave it outside the door or somewhere else? My apartment has a landlord/lady living there but no front main office or something.

did you check the option for domestic rather than international order?

they will bring it to your door, if you're not home they will usually leave a handwritten note (or a text on your phone) telling you where they've left it, with the security guards or landlord or whoever. occasionally they will leave it outside or with a neighbor, only rarely though, I don't think they're supposed to do that (understandably.)

Yes, and i can even input my address. But I can't check the radio button "Sending Money(Private Account)". And I did register my ARC number because I see it when I click on "edit info." So I'm not sure what is wrong.

See, this is what I see, the radio buttons aren't an option:

Are you sure the seller allows private account transfers? Some of them won't do it that way.

I had a ton of problems with Gmarket, too. In the end, I asked my supervisor to order the stuff and just gave her cash. Actually, the Korean version of the site is far superior and she was able to find almost the exact same thing for less money.

How can you tell if they allow it or not?

Basically what you have to do is withdraw money from your bank account and deposit it in your Gmarket account. You can do this via instant online bank transfer. Once the money is verified (takes like an hour at most during regular business hours), you can use your Gmarket "Cash" to pay for purchases.

Otherwise you can pay using credit card as a foreigner...

While it is true that the things on the Korean version are sometimes cheaper, you can click on them, and add them to recently viewed (or something like that) and then pay for them on the English portion of the site.

OP, wish I could help you out, but my wife did all the gmarket transferring. She set it up so that we had a gmarket shinhan bank account. We just transferred money from our shinhan account to the gmarket account. Don't know how she did it. You can pm her, kimbabworld. She is a little busy now, as she moved back to Canada with my son, and is settling down.

I am sure this is not likely the problem, but i will throw it out there anyway to others who may not be aware.

Gmarket does not like firefox when going through the ordering process. It will allow you to browse, save to wishlist...etc..but when actually trying to order, it will not work unless you are using IE.

This advice is valid for about every Korean website. Sure, some work with firefox, but when in doubt open up IE.

Dredging up an old thread here, sorry. I'm trying to order some stuff off of Gmarket, but I can't figure out how to pay. I have Standard Charter bank, which isn't an option in the transferring money to your g-account area. I don't want to use my foreign card because it's a debit card. That means I have to wire money home and I'll get hit with a 25 dollar fee for that. I don't want to have my boss order for me. Is there a way for me to transfer the money into my g-account without having one of the specified banks? Can I simply send it through that bank's ATM? UGH this is so annoying. I'd appreciate any help.

Believe it or not, GMarket has pretty good customer service. You'll have to go through a bunch of steps to where you can actually send them a message, but you'll usually have an answer in English in about 2 hours or so.
