| I have a bad sleep cycle. I go to bed about 10PM because I am so tired and wake up around 1:30 to pee and can't get back to sleep for awhile. Then I wake at 4AM and don't get back to sleep for awhile and finally get up around 6AM. I know how to blank my mind and breathe, rather than think, so I dont think it is insomnia. It persists. I think I need to go to a sleep clinic to see if I have apnea, but I think it is a messed up internal clock. Also, it has nothing to do with drinking, I dont drink that often. Anyone have sleep problems? |

| I have sleep problems. I take a melatonin, OTC sleep meds, and a very small type of valium that was prescribed for my sleep problems. I'm worried about how I'll be able to sleep in Korea as I doubt I'll be allowed to bring my rx with me, although I hear you can get otc meds and melatonin at the black market. |

| I know that I sleep much better if I exercise on a regular basis, eat fairly healthy, and don't eat just before going to bed. |

Do you get enough exercise? Sometimes there is something you need to change in your life and you can't sleep until you acknowledge it. Putting both hands on your head and act like you are breathing into them through your nose and out through you mouth will help people sleep. Are you always pumped up or lazy? Coffee? Soft drinks? |

Don't drink any fluids for at least three hours before bed. Make sure you use the washroom right before going to bed. Have some white noise, like a fan, in your room. Make sure your room is perfectly dark and that the sunlight cannot wake you up.
Sleep makes a big difference! |

I have trouble getting to sleep but this year I've been using 'Magic Sleep'. It has worked wonders for me, I set the Magic Sleep for 15 minutes and I have never yet been awake to hear the end of it.

| I have a sleep problem so I take Diprivan. Just ask your local anesthesiologist about it. Works really well. |

| Halcyon? Ambien? The old Tryciclics? Yeah. They've got it. And they'll give them to you, for the asking! (not a joke) |

I had insomnia for two years 2005 - 2007
Docs had me on a combo of (get this) xanax, ambien and buspar, enough to knock out a silverback gorilla. Didn't do a thing to me...
I'd even go and lift lift weights for an hour and then run for an hour until exhaustion and THEN take my drug combo - no sleep... In August of 2007 I was in Spain and recorded 30 days with no sleep other than the occaisional hour or two here or there... I was like a living ghost...
Swaer to God - I started doing a yoga for beginers dvd at home and after the 3rd time I did the 45 min workout I've not had insomnia since...
Must have exorcised soemthing for me. Also helped me emotionally / psycologically get rid of some pent up memories / stuff...
Maybe incorporate some yoga into your schedule... worked for me and is easy too....

I've had very irregular sleeping patterns. Sometimes, I can't go to sleep no matter what. After taking OTC sleeping aids, I usually end up sleeping for 2-3 hours a day. This can last for weeks. Then there are periods of time when I have no difficulty sleepign at all. I can sleep for 8+ hours and wake up and still feel liek crap.
I dont think it's stress because during the times I can't sleep I had nothing to be stressed about. |

When I was overweight I slept way too much.
If I am stressed, I don't sleep well at all.
I need to eat well like 60% of the time to sleep well.
Do you exercise enough?
Recent weight gain / loss?
How's your life in general? Any big issues? Seriously.
If I'm not stressed and workin out regularly I sleep like a babyyyyyy.
Good luck. |

I sleep rather late. I am a night owl. I go to bed sometimes at around 3 a.m. and get up at 11:30. I am trying to reset my clock, so I am waking up earlier to reset my clock. I think the key is to not eat too late, exercise. I am not sure about finding melatonin in Korea. I did see at the red door store (black market store). Even though I sleep late, I do sleep like a baby. |

Thanks to being woken up so many times by my neighbour, I usually wake up at 3am. Sometimes it's earlier. Lately I stay away for maybe an hour and if I wake up next at 5am I'm happy. That usually means 6 hours sleep.
Last year I was on sleeping pills as I was waking up at 1am fully awake, and not able to go back to sleep again. This went on for 2 months straight.
People without sleep disorders just can't imagine what it's like. |
