| I want to withdraw 3,000,000 Won for Traveler Checks. Can I withdraw this much all at once? When I buy TC the bank always asks me to get the money through the ATM, rarther than trqansferring it from my account |

You should probably call your bank's card line and ask. I don't know if ATM withdrawl limit is the same as the credit limit/monthly spending limit, but I had to call mine to lift the 1 million won limit to buy an airplane ticket. |

| Did you try it? I took out over 3 mill once: 5 withdrawals in a row. A lot of 10,000 won notes. |

Tell your bank you expect some SERVICE and if they don't withdraw the 3,000,000 FOR YOU, you'll take ALL your money out and go to a bank that will |

| Perhaps there is a charge for over the counter withdrawls, so, using the ATM was cheaper. |

That would be bizarre. I don't understand this situation at all. Go into the bank for TCs. Push the 수표 button instead of cash at the ATM if you want the KRW checks.
I've withdrawn way over that at once... but over the counter... in checks. They woulda given me cash if I had wanted. I wouldn't want to be able to withdraw 3m at the ATM but that's just me. |

most atms have limits on how much you can withdrawal, at once and in a 24hr period. I am pretty sure this is standard in most countries. It's protection against mugging.
Just go into the bank |

| Max you can take out is around 2.2 mill within a day I believe. I did it before while back but can't remember exact amount. Also there's a max withdraw amount from ATM per transaction. |
