So I work for a Korean company, and next to me in the office sits this manager (ajusshi).
He has a bad habit of snapping his gum. Worse, he does it for about 4-5 hours a day.
I feel like I can't just tell him to stop, because he is higher in terms of hierarchy. So I wear headphones and listen to music for hours a day to try to cover the sounds, but then it distracts me from my work.
Any suggestions on how I can get this dude to quit it? |

| Politely ask him to stop snapping his gum, it's distracting. |

I would go nuts.
Last week I moved my seat from one end of the subway car to the other end because of a crazy gum snapping adjumma and I STILL could hear her.
I would spend an hour or so staring at him, smacking my lips loudly non-stop until he got the point. You know, just pretend your him all day. Or get your desk moved. Or.......... |
