A few days ago, the music teacher in my school asked me what kinds of music I like. I mentioned classical and told her my favorite artist is Mozart (her's is Beethoven). A few moments ago, she gave me a CD she burned, and it's full of Mozart songs!
How sweet!
Anything nice and unexpected happen to you guys today? |

well, yesterday I dropped a banana milk on the floor in a 7-11 but I didn't have to pay for it...not sure if that would fly back in the west.
oh I have a real one, also involving milk, strangely enough--today the agasshi making my iced vanilla latte told me that she put extra milk in because she wanted me to be healthy. thought that was kinda cute. |

I forgive the guy in the subway station who pushed me in the back, who I had just bumped into moments before.
Chill man, chill. |

Today two of my Elementary Grade Two students came into my classroom and gave me letters that they had written. The letters were really sweet, and they asked me a few questions and then thanked me for teaching them. I asked their teacher, and it appears that they just wanted to write me a letter. |

I love when my kids do random stuff like give me stickers for no reason. |

Teaching the little ones does have its good points. I've kept all of those cards and such over the years. They are genuinely sweet. |

My mom is down visiting me for the summer in Montreal. I came back from work to find my house sparkling. How is it that parents still manage to make your place clean when you've already cleaned it?
Either way, it was super sweet of her, especially since she's on vacation. She drove me to work too since she's renting a car.
Yes, yes. I'm a mommy's girl and I love my mom.
To what other people have said about kids, it's just awesome. I'm not a teacher, but I love working with younger kids (camps and such). They have more enthusiasm. My supervisor at work brings her daughter now and then, and she makes drawings for me that I put up at my desk. |

I drove my motorcycle more than 30 km across town to the single adjussi I can trust to give me the normal price for service and not take advantage or me as a foreigner.
After telling him that I was going on a cross-country bike trip next week, he quoted me a price of 78,000 won for a boatload of work including new chain and sprocket, new rear brake pad, new electronic part for my odometer (stopped working months ago) oil and filter change.
Not that someone went out of their way for me, but if was nice to not be taken advantage of. |

First of all, I love the fact that you started this thread! Thank you!
Yesterday I went to a great baseball game, and one of the players gave me the ball when the game was over. That made me really happy!^^ |

I was given a nail clipper by one of my first grade MS students. My nails are pretty short nearly all the time, but I suppose it was nice. |

I was walking home through a park and I heard "TEACHER, TEACHER!!!!!!!!!" I look up to a higher walking/biking trail and astudent of mine is going hysterical. He throws his bike down and come running toward me nearly trampling some adjoshis and adjummas, who have no idea what is going on. He comes running down the hill and gives me a hug. He then turns and runs back to his bike to run off.
This is the same kid who has tackled me in class before so I was quite happy not to get taken down in the park. Anyways I thought it was funny. |
