-whenever receiving or giving something, you use both hands.
-bowing before and after any interaction. Not only to coworkers but everyone in your school. Make sure to bow at a 60~70 degree angle relative to the ground.
-complimenting Korean people, their food, culture, lifestyle, etc.
-extra waygook points for criticizing the West and your own country harshly.
-showing an eagerness to learn Korean everyday.
-Using your limited Korean in every day interactions.
-avoiding social taboos such as talking about N. Korea, using your index finger to call people over, eating before your elders/superiors, asking people how much they make, pouring soju with one hand and so on.
-if you work in public school make sure to eat breakfast lunch and dinner at the cafeteria. |

also you must be a movie star lookalike, must never miss work for any reason, must never criticize anything about Korea especially the food, must never indicate that you are anything less than 100% thrilled to be here, and must never ask any difficult questions.
then you'll be fine.
ability to put up with random amounts of bs is also a good sign you'll fit in. |

also respect is proportional to how you dress. Wearing dress shirt and pants gets you respect. Suit and tie is even better. If you dress the part of a teacher you will get waygook points. Make sure to acknowledge everyone with a bow as not doing so is the equivalent of 'screw you'

I'm not even white but they say I look like James Dean, Ben Affleck, etc.
I personally feel overwhelmed by the attention I receive from the students and teachers at my PS. |

I get extra points for commenting on how beautiful Korean women are, but mentioning that my wife is not Korean.
Koreans want you to admire their women but not lay your filthy foreign hands on them. |

Very true, I just got a talking to about not showing the proper respect by not bowing. Never mind that I say "Hi" and chat a bit, without bowing it is useless.
