I think there's been a dramatic change in Korea's summer this year. It's July, Daegu and I haven't broken out in a sweat walking down the street.
Climate change is working for the better here. |

Yeah, I was just saying the same thing to a friend this week. Not sure of the cause, but the dreaded Daegu summer we heard so much about has not been too bad yet. It's not over yet though. Maybe it will be the dog days of August we have to fear. |

If you're from a hot place, then yes, I think July would be mild. Last night it was actually rather chilly. It's rainy most of the time which cools us down, although it gets very humid and sweaty when the rain stops. August is by far the worst. Actually, this is my 4th year and will only be my first full August. I won't be working so don't care.
I find Korean winter a piece of cake and summer mildly unpleasant. |

Yes, I am from Florida and by May it is hotter than Hades.
I agree, the rain has been cooling it down here. |

It's cooler because summer hasn't started yet. In a week or so you'll know what I mean. |

I'm from West TN. I live in Gyeongsan which is a town bordering Daegu. It doesn't get as hot here as it does back home, humidity is almost the same though. TN and this area of Korea are close to the same latitude so the temps are similar. Much more wind here though. |

I think it depends, on some part, to how much rain we get. The weather bureau stopped giving out extended weather forecasts saying that things were too unpredictable per global warming has effected this and that. Supposedly we weren't supposed to get this much rain. Last summer was definitely hotter at this point but we also had clearer skies too. Thank God for the rain. |
