| When I went to Thailand I did koh samet for a few days and pattaya for a few days. I'd recommend the same for youngish single non-prudes as well, you get the best of both worlds. I had a great time. |

[MOD EDIT] and giggles? I've been there once in 20-odd trips to Thailand and can't say I didn't like it. Horses for courses I guess. |

If I wanted to get drunk & barhop, & not remember what happened the previous night(s), I'd go to Itaewon, & save my money!
Still, I did all that in my early 20's. It got old fast. I've never gotten out of the bus at Pattaya, despite 26 trips to Thailand. There is just so much that is better to see, and remember! |
