what is the coolest thing you have got from the rejected pile of furniture area at your apartment complex?

yesterday I was walking back to my apartment and I scored a floor fan..

it was virtually brand new and works perfectly....I have no idea why that was thrown away (maybe some one got air con) so now I can save money on that air con bill and use the fan!! Very Happy Cool

I have also scored a neat sofa that is super comfy and not infested with mites or other bugs (also virtually brand new and had a small tear in it...but nothing that a strategically placed sarong can't cover)

I got a fairly decent mattress. The friendly old housing complex ajosshi had no problems with me taking it away and it was in pretty good nick.

I saw a Korean news story recently about a foreign guy wandering around looking for "treasure". Couldn't tell where he was from though, as he was speaking Korean.

A full top of the line surround sound system.

Still works great today, 6 years on.

At the grocery store, when they start taping extras to the packages of food. I love it when I buy a bunch of batteries, and it comes with a stapler or a bath sponge taped to it.
