I am planning a major jaun aboard with my friends and I have a question. Do you know if a travel insurance is needed it for this agent? Is it true that a travel insurance can protect the costly investment a major trip can involve. Would you recomand me to sign a term life insurance no medical exam ?

I only book with SOHO now.

Jay is really helpful and his prices are the best. He has been really reliable and has gone out of his way to help me in the past.

He can be a little slow to get back to your emails, but anyone who has actually stopped by the office in Seoul soon understands why, as their phone NEVER stops ringing.

If you are in a rush to confirm details or booking last minute, Jay may not be the best option- for your sanity's sake. But if you are booking well in advance and have the 3-4 days response time to spare, I think it is well worth it.

I have wired money to him and sent him my passport without any mishaps.

booked a last minute trip with them recently for a return trip to Tokyo.....120,000 yen cheaper than every other travel agent I called and service was very good. Will definitely use them in the future...

Has anyone used Soho within the last few days? I had been discussing the best options with Jongho for a roundtrip flight home and he was really prompt as always with replies. So last Thursday I settled on an itinerary and transferred the money at around 9:30am. A few hours later I got a response saying he would send me the e-ticket when it was issued. When I bought my ticket from him for winter vacation it took a day or two for him to send the e-ticket (paid on Friday, ticket on Monday, something like that) so when I didn't receive this one right away I wasn't really bothered about it.

However, it's now Thursday again, and this seems a bit excessive. I've sent emails, which have gone unanswered, and tried to call but got no answer (although I know it's usually something of a challenge to get them on the phone). Has anyone else heard from them recently or is it just me?

Jongho messaged me back about tickets I'm about to pay for a couple of days ago. He told me that he'd be out of the office, but if I went in on Friday he'd forward my info to his partner. Maybe he's out of the office for a couple of days.

Hi There,

Never had a problem with the service even finding the prices here were always pretty good.

Last time I had to email a reminder that the tickets hadn't come through yet then he sent them.

I can imagine their office is busy.

He sent me the ticket with apologies. He didn't say why it was late, but I'm sure they're just really busy this time of year. No worries.

Just like to add. I've used Soho twice (dealt with Jeongah and not Jongho though), good service all round.

Soho travel's incredibly reliable and honest. They helped me plan a trip to Cambodia and Vietnam over Christmas, helped me purchase tickets over Lunar New Year for Taiwan (which I unfortunately had to cancel last-minute), and are helping me plan a trip to Russia for this summer.

They've been nothing but helpful.

Can anyone tell me how to get to the SOHO travel office in Seoul? It sounds to me like the bast way to do business is to stop by. Are they open on Saturdays?

In case you haven't already sorted out how to get there, there's a handy map on their site:

I just got my Chinese visas and plane tickets through Soho. Excellent service and quick responses to all my questions/requests.

I'm sad I didn't discover them earlier as I'll be leaving Korea in a few months and had frequent problems with other travel agencies here. I can't recommend them enough. They had better prices and better service than other agencies I've used.
