Does anybody know anything about Seodaemun area of Seoul?
Or particularly the ECC Seodaemun school?
My friend and I are trying to decide between here and a great school in Cheonan.
Thanks! |

I wouldn't mind living in Seodaemun and hiking up Inwangsan on a regular basis (hopefully that I-Park nonsense that was under construction in '07 isn't too much of an eyesore). Pretty nice area I'd say. Can't comment on the specific school, but ECC in general is not highly regarded. |

Why not use this search engine
http://www.google.com/coop/cse?cx=006359271486458796786:_ooozypbm6u
to search for ECC? There is probably already threads on it in the Jobs Forum. Otherwise start a new thread in that forum and you'll probably get more of a response. Sorry I can't help, I don't know that school.
Personally, though, I would choose Seoul over Cheonan. I hear that Cheonam is nice, but it's just a long way from Seoul if you like to come in on the weekends - you have to stay over really. Seodaemun is quite nice and very close to the downtown area. As the previous poster said, Ingwansan is beautiful and a lovely place to walk.
It really depends on your social goals. If you're happy for a slightly quieter life out of Seoul, and Cheonan has a great job, go there. |

The Seodaemun area is okay. Personally, I wouldn't say it's great, but it is Seoul. The main streets have food, shopping and financial sector stuff. There's a cinema in the area, but I haven't seen a supermarket yet (I work in the area, but don't live there).
Seodaemun is reasonably close to other points of interest by public transportation: city hall and the palace (20 min.), Itaewon (30 min.), or the train station (15 min.). There isn't much on the sidestreets, aside from residential buildings. |
