I need to fax something to the US. I am also an idiot.
These two things combined together mean I don't know how, and I realize that it might be very, very easy. Google-fu didn't help much, which suggests that it's very easy no one has even bothered writing how. However, my Kolleagues and I have kind of stumbled a bit.
Ok, so I have the (xxx)xxx-xxxx fax number, right,
I attempted to just do 001-(xxx)xxx-xxxx but that didn't work out. What am I doing wrong?
Please don't tell me that all i have to do is 1-xxx-xxx-xxxx. |

Perhaps you first need to dial a number to reach lines outside the school.
For example: X-1-XXX-XXX-XXXX |

assuming you already have an outside line (and don't need to dial 9 or something to get line access):
001-1-xxx-xxx-xxxx. |
